Richard is a former Head of Qualitative Research and Board Director at BVA BDRC (from 2013 to 2021). During his time at the agency he focused on widening the range of qualitative tools and techniques across the business. He also developed a specialism in international research; running many very large projects and authoring a winning paper for the MRS Award for International Research in 2015 based on a collaboration with HSBC. Recently, Richard created Cappuccino Research to focus on leading edge qualitative methods such as ZMET® (for which Cappuccino Research now holds an exclusive license in the UK). A specialist in financial research, Richard also has deep experience in other sectors including healthcare, hotels and catering and technology.
