World association members elect 7 women, 3 men, from 5 continents to help shape future of the global business community for data, research, and insights
ESOMAR, the global voice of the data, research and insights community announces the publication today of the results of the Council election campaign for 2021-2022. The ESOMAR Council, the Board of Directors of ESOMAR, is responsible for providing the strategic vision and manages the executive arm of ESOMAR. For the first time in its history, ESOMAR members have elected a majority female Council with representatives from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin and North America. Council members are elected to a two-year term.
The elected members include the new ESOMAR President Kristin Luck (ScaleHouse Consulting, USA) and Vice-President Nikki Lavoie (MindSpark, France) who will be supported by an experienced team featuring Umesh Kumar (Hansa Research – India), Alain Mizrahi (Grupo Radar, Uruguay), Vanessa Oshima (Starbucks, Japan), Corinne Moy (GfK, UK), Lisa Wilding Brown (InnovateMR, USA), Joy Uyanwune (Decision Support, Nigeria), Michelle Gansle (Mars, USA), Tom de Ruyck (InSites Consulting, Belgium). Joaquim Bretcha (Netquest, Spain) joins this Council as its Ex-Officio President.
In reacting to her election, new ESOMAR President Kristin Luck said, “This is a history making Council that features elected representatives from the four corners of the globe. I want to express my gratitude to Joaquim for establishing such a strong platform of initiatives during his term. Nikki and I look forward to engaging closely with you all in the coming months to ensure we’re actively working (and by that we mean DOING, not dreaming!) to create an ESOMAR that is truly future proof.”
The new ESOMAR Vice-President Nikki Lavoie added, “The incoming Council represents global perspectives, experiences and passions about our sector, and it’s an honor to have been elected from such a diverse and talented group of candidates. We are in the midst of an era of change, and I look forward to collaborating with all of Council to ensure we adapt and evolve accordingly, benefitting from the work of those that came before us.”
