GfK strengthens its membership with ESOMAR

PRESS RELEASE

GfK, one of the largest market research institutes in the world, has enhanced its membership with ESOMAR, the global association for the market research and insights profession.

GfK – one of ESOMAR’s founding corporate members in 2014  – has requested that the full range of ESOMAR services and knowledge centre(s) be extended throughout their business. This strengthened membership package will give all interested GfK employees globally access to all of ESOMAR’s benefits – including ANA, the first artificial intelligence system for market research; the extensive video and paper library of award-winning presentations from around the world;  comprehensive guidance to key legal issues and developments, and assured adherence to the globally recognised ICC/ ESOMAR Code of Conduct.

The new membership package clearly signifies the commitment each and every employee within GfK has to producing work that is conducted to the highest ethical and professional standards. This commitment not only represents a clear promise to buyers of research, but also pledges a strong  future-proofed approach to the market intelligence profession and our successful history of self-regulation. GfK’s commitment to ESOMAR signals the importance the association plays within the industry and the work ESOMAR carries out to ensure the industry is trusted by the public.

Stefan Gerhardt, Regional Director Marketing and Communications within GfK and responsible for the co-operation with ESOMAR, said: “The corporate license scheme is perfect for GfK to even further intensify our involvement with ESOMAR. From now on, every GfK employee is able to be a designated ESOMAR member and to gain from the great benefits associated with the membership.’’

Finn Raben, ESOMAR Director General, said: “We are delighted that GfK is proactively ensuring all of their employers have unlimited access to all our services and vast array of knowledge resources; this is a resounding commitment both internally and externally to producing work to the highest possible standard. We are excited to welcome them all into the ESOMAR community, and with their guidance, continuing to refine and improve our products even further.”

In September 2016 ESOMAR introduced the corporate license package to corporate members, making it possible for all employees to gain access to ESOMAR’s many benefits. The corporate license package creates more awareness of the work and advocacy ESOMAR carries out on behalf of its members and the industry.
