Buyout firms Court Square Capital Management LP, and HGGC LLC, are reportedly working with Everscore Inc., an investment bank, to explore the sale of digital data collection specialist Dynata.
The current reports suggest that the price tag for such a sale could exceed $3 billion, including debt.
Quoting people “familiar with the matter”, news agency Reuters has suggested the decision – to explore a sale of Dynata – reflects the current trend of private equity firms looking to ‘cash in’ on these kinds of large corporations.
Dynata, formerly Research Now SSI, was created after the merger of the previous Research Now and SSI companies in 2017. Court Square acquired Research Now in March 2015, just a few months after HGGC acquired a majority stake in SSI.
While there are reports of the possible sale, to date no comment has been from any of the three companies about the rumors.
