Russian Research Week – impressions

By Anton Donskih,

The first Digital Research conference took place on 6 October and was a project by the Russian Research Week (researchweek.ru). The purpose of this event was to discuss the latest methods and technologies of marketing and sociological research. An important point, I suppose is that the speakers were chosen on a competitive basis: the program committee scored each application and only the ones with highest scores were finally approved. Moreover, two foreign speakers, recommended by ESOMAR, took part in the Digital Research conference Preriit Souda from Kantar TNS and Michalis Michael – DigitalMR founder.

I found all the presentations to be useful, offering practical information and insights. I was furthermore very inspired by the client round-table, in which representatives of leading bank, telecommunication and FMCG companies took part. This format gave an opportunity for leading Russian research agencies to see and hear first-hand the expectations of their major customers. It is worth mentioning that 38% of 198 conference visitors were research clients.

I would like to extend special thanks to the sponsors of this event – thank you for your unconditional support and help, even when we launched the event without knowing of its success rate. And a success it was! The satisfaction survey shows that we have to organize this Digital Research conference every year!

As one of the participants, Head of Marketing research of one of the largest Russian banks commented:

“I would like to congratulate you on the excellent conference. In my opinion, it was very interesting both in terms of content, format and atmosphere. Our team listened, watched and participated until the end of the event with great enthusiasm! Thanks a lot!”
