The positive economic times that we are facing in Brazil brings great rewards for our society. One of this “gifts” is the high-growth of start-ups in the country.
According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), Brazil has the highest rate of “new business” among all the countries that make up the G20 and, for the first time in the history, there are 2x more entrepreneurs who set up businesses based on market opportunities comparing to entrepreneurs who started new business to meet financial needs.
This context shows the great opportunity for research agencies to offer services for these new start-ups and grow the research market in Brazil.
However, there is also a great challenge to overcome.
In my opinion, Brazilian research agencies are not prepared to meet the needs of small businesses. We learned to work with large companies, with established brands, with clear processes and demands. We do not know how to deal with low-budget projects that require creative ways to find solutions, as are the demands of start-ups.
We need to develop our knowledge to make smart research to serve small businesses, using new technologies, social media and innovative sources of information to make it sharper and cheaper. This will help the market research business and also Brazil’s economy in general, since the new start-ups are the engine that will lead the country to a brighter future.

We definitely agree this will be the next step. give the best research technology tools to every agency at a reasonable price.
We are working to a suite of on line cloud based services with this purpose in mind.
At the moment we are in the pre-beta release and we offer to any agency the chance to evaluate the emotional impact of a media (video or set of video) through our facial coding SaaS. No need to have hardware, just (near) real time results on any device laptop, mobile, tablet with a browser.
In few weeks we’ll add eye tracking to detect the perception pattern, project management and surveys module.
We believe that through the new technologies can be offered to every professional market researcher (big or small firm) tools to build and improve their competitiveness.
