Women in Research (WIRe) Announces Three New Advisory Board Members

Global insights leaders from Unilever, Nestlé, and Facebook join board of worldwide nonprofit organization.

Women in Research (WIRe), a non-profit organization working globally to provide career development and educational opportunities for women while supporting gender diversity initiatives in the market research industry, has added three new members to its advisory board:

  • BV Pradeep is VP CMI for Country & Customer Development for Americas & Europe in the new C4G organization at Unilever in London
  • Joanna Derry is Head of Consumer Insights & Marketplace Intelligence for Nestlé Oceania Limited out of Sydney, Australia
  • Pratiti Raychoudhury is a Director of Research for Facebook in Menlo Park, California

All will play a crucial role strategically guiding WIRe’s quickly growing, and increasingly global, organizational presence.

BV Pradeep joined Unilever in 1993, leading Market Research and Media at Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd. From 2009-2017, he served as Vice President CMI for Global Markets and, in the last year, was positioned to establish a new wing of CMI to support Country and Customer development teams for Unilever’s new C4G organization. BV graduated from IIMB with four gold medals in Marketing & Finance specialization as well as a strong passion for Consumer Insights and Research which has been his passion ever since. BV was elected Vice-President of ESOMAR in 2017 and is currently serving.

Joanna Derry is a global brand and marketing insights strategist who has led insights projects in more than 50 countries across the globe. She currently works for Nestle Oceania as Head of Consumer Insights & Marketplace Intelligence where she has a leadership role across the organization to drive consumer and shopper centricity for business growth. She has also held roles at Procter & Gamble and is an award-winning industry presenter who loves to champion consumer-centricity.

Pratiti Raychoudhury started at Facebook in October 2010 as a researcher working on Facebook Platform. Previously, she was the Director of Customer Insights at Yahoo, leading brand and campaign insights globally as well as market and user experience research for Yahoo! Open Strategy. She was the first market researcher at PayPal and eventually led the consumer research team.

After completing a two-year service term, advisory board members Anthony Michelini, Eric Salama, Jane Frost and Marie-Agnes Mourot de Lathyle will transition to emeritus board members.
